The Baggies are currently situated in mid-table in the Premier League.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis
Stuart Pearce has admitted to Sky Sports that he cannot believe it when he hears that Tony Pulis is supposedly fighting for his job with West Bromwich Albion.
Despite the season only being in its infancy, the Welshman has been heavily linked with leaving the Baggies, with the Express suggesting that he had been considering his future at the start of the month following their relatively quiet summer window, while he has more recently admitted to Sky Sports that his fate will be out of his hands once the takeover is finalised.

But after his side put any speculation to the back of their minds at the weekend by claiming an impressive 4-2 win against West Ham, Pearce has suggested that it would be a big mistake for the club to part company with the former Stoke City manager.
“Tony Pulis, by all accounts, is under a little bit of pressure and I can’t believe it. It shouldn’t be the case because without Tony I’m not sure where West Brom would be,” he told Sky Sports.

Though Pearce believes that Pulis is needed at the Hawthorns, the supporters may perhaps need some convincing that he is still the right man to take them forward.
With just six goals in their first five league games – four of which came in their most recent fixture – it is fair to say that the style of play that Pulis encourages his team to adopt hardly captures the imagination.
But if the team can follow up their victory over the Hammers with further exciting displays, it may not be too long before all of the speculation dies down.
