Glasgow Rangers striker Kenny Miller’s contract at Ibrox expires at the end of the season.

Stuart McCall has told the Evening Times that it seems a no-brainer that Rangers should hand Kenny Miller a contract extension before his current deal expires at the end of the season.
Miller has enjoyed a tremendous season in the Scottish Premiership, arguably proving to be the Gers’ best player over the course of the campaign and topping their goalscoring charts in the top flight, with nine goals to his name.
Despite his form, the 37-year-old goes into the final handful of games this season with his future up in the air with his contract only set to run for another couple of months.
And former Gers player and manager McCall has made it clear what he would do if he was still in charge, when it comes to making a decision on Miller’s future.
“I don’t know the ins and outs of it but he has had a really top season and his fitness levels seem to be there. You look at his age but he is not struggling,” he told the Evening Times.

“If you have looked after yourself, then 37 is just a number. If you have got the know-how that Kenny has got, for me it would be a no-brainer.
“I don’t know the philosophy and what the new manager might want. For myself, it would be a no-brainer.”
While Pedro Caixinha would be forgiven for wanting to turn to much younger players who could potentially enjoy long spells with the Gers, keeping Miller around for another year must surely be a wise decision.

He has undoubtedly been one of their most reliable performers, and has shown few signs that suggest that age is catching up with him.
It may make more sense for Caixinha to keep him around for another season so he can turn to him if things are not going to plan at any stage as, based on Miller’s performances this term, he can rely on him to put in a great shift that drags his teammates with him.
