The Northern Ireland international played at left-back when he came on for Leeds United at the weekend.

Stuart Dallas has had to wait patiently for his chances at Leeds United this season, but when he replaced the injured Vurnon Anita at half-time on Saturday, he showed just how much he is willing to fight for his place with an impressive performance at left-back.
The Northern Ireland international has played there for his country on occasions, but Dallas’s fine showing in a relatively unfamiliar role showed the Thomas Christiansen effect in full force.

After all, the new Leeds boss has got his impressively assembled squad performing well in the opening weeks of the campaign and he has ensured that every player is ready when called on, even if that is to play in a role they are not completely comfortable with.
Dallas rose to the task against Burton Albion, even if his Leeds teammates had made it easier for him by going into the break 3-0 up.

The 26-year-old still had work to do and he did not disappoint, ensuring Leeds have another option at left-back should they need it as the season progresses.
With midfielder Conor Shaughnessy transformed into a centre-back under Christiansen and summer signing Madger Gomes showing his versatility through the middle and out wide, it seems Leeds have a manager willing to try new things that – for now at least – work perfectly.
