Stuart Dallas has been full of praise for the Leeds United supporters.

Stuart Dallas has summed up the Leeds supporters as incredible, insisting that their support can have a major impact on the team when they need inspiration, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.

Leeds have enjoyed a tremendous start to the new season, going into the international break sitting third in the table, undefeated from their opening five games and not conceding a league goal since the opening day win over Bolton.

There appear to have been a number of factors behind Thomas Christiansen’s side’s excellent start, and Dallas suggested that the fans are one of the main factors – before insisting the Elland Road faithful will play a crucial role as the season continues.

“The fans are incredible,” Dallas said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post. “They pack out Elland Road now and they sell out away ends every week and that can be the difference in getting a team over the line.

“When you are tired and you are at the end of a game and you hear the fans pushing you on it’s massive and from a players’ point of view we have to repay them.

With the Championship arguably as competitive as it ever has been since Leeds returned to the second tier, Christiansen will be seeking every advantage he can possibly get to ensure that the Whites remain at the sharp end of the table.

And there is no question that the atmosphere the supporters create, home and away, gives Leeds an additional edge in the majority of the games they play.

And if the players continue to give the fans plenty to shout about, then the supporters may well provide the momentum to drive the team on during the twists and turns of the season, as Dallas predicts.
