The Northern Irishman has started only half of Leeds United’s 32 Championship games under Garry Monk.
If there’s one thing Leeds United fans demand above all else from each and every player fortunate enough to pull on the famous white shirt, it’s 100 per cent dedication.
Therefore, although Stuart Dallas has found starts hard to come by this season, it’s refreshing to know that he does not harbour even the most minor modicum of regret about swapping Brentford’s Griffin Park for Elland Road in the summer of 2015, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.
The Northern Ireland international was a regular fixture in the XI under Uwe Rosler and Steve Evans though Monk, having brought two more wingers to Leeds in January in the shape of Modou Barrow and Alfonso Pedraza, has only handed Dallas 16 league starts.
Though the 25-year-old says that, even as he falls down the pecking order, he would not take back his decision to put pen to paper almost two years ago.
“There was a few teams [interested] but obviously I chose Leeds, Dallas told the Yorkshire Evening Post. “You are never going to turn a club like Leeds down and I’m happy that I’ve done that.”
Dallas’ impressive work ethic means the fans didn’t take long to warm to their new signing immediately after his arrival and, after just two seasons at Elland Road, he has helped the club progress from mid-table to the play-offs.
