The Leeds United captain is back in the international fold after a two-and-a-half year absence.

Leeds United’s Liam Cooper has finally been recalled to the Scotland squad.
The United centre-back, who qualifies through his grandfather, has previously been called up in 2016 and 2017, but is yet to make his international debut.
But new Scotland boss Steve Clarke has named him in the squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers against Russia and Belgium in September.
Hull-born Cooper has been one of Leeds’ best and most consistent players since Marcelo Bielsa took the reins in West Yorkshire last June.
And here’s how his Whites team-mate Stuart Dallas reacted to the announcement:
This recall has been long overdue for the Leeds captain who, despite a mistake in a playoff semi-final defeat by Derby County in May, has been rock solid for the Elland Road club in recent years.
Here’s how Leeds supporters reacted:
Cooper missed the 3-0 win at Stoke City this past weekend through injury, but Bielsa revealed afterwards that he could’ve played him.
