According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites had to pay Chievo a transfer fee of £500,000 in order to secure the services of the 22-year-old striker.
The 22-year-old is a very talented and promising young striker, and he played well for Leeds in their 2-0 victory over Sunderland away from home at the Stadium of Light in the Championship at the weekend.
Leeds winger Dallas, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, has praised Ekuban.
“Caleb Ekuban came in and did really well,” the 26-year-old told The Daily Mail. “We see every day in training how good he really is and he’s determined to make his mark here.”
Dallas’s comments about Ekuban should please Leeds fans and should encourage them to be optimistic about the 22-year-old’s chances of being a success in the Championship.
The Championship is a very tough and competitive domestic league, and it is not easy for players from other countries to be a success in the division.
However, Dallas’s comments show that Ekuban is determined to prove himself in the Championship, and the Elland Road faithful be confident of the youngster being a success for the Whites.
