Leeds United will surely be doing everything they can to bring Kyle Bartley back to Elland Road this summer.

Stuart Dallas has insisted that he would love to see Leeds bring Kyle Bartley back to the club this summer, but admitted that he thinks that the centre-back is ready to thrive in the Premier League, the Yorkshire Evening Post reports.

Bartley spent the campaign on loan at Elland Road and proved to be an inspired signing during a year where the Whites came within touching distance of the play-off places in the Championship.

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Garry Monk – if still in charge beyond this season – wants to bring Bartley back and has earmarked him as a priority signing. However, Swansea boss Paul Clement has confirmed that the 25-year-old has worked his way into his plans for next term (via Wales Online).

And while Dallas insisted that the defender would be a brilliant signing for the club if they could find a way to agree a deal, he conceded that Bartley deserves to be playing at a higher level next year.

“He’s massive and he’s proved throughout the season how big a player he can be,” he said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post. “I think he’s missed one league game throughout the whole season.

“He’s a huge influence on the group and he’s miles ahead of his age, if that makes sense.

“Next year it would be great if he could come back here, but I think he can make the step up to the Premier League.”

There is surely no doubt that signing Bartley again this summer will provide Leeds’ promotion hopes with a massive boost. Not only is the former Arsenal man a tremendous centre-back in his own right, but it could certainly be argued that the control he provides allows Pontus Jansson to play his natural game and makes the team generally look more assured.

But with Dallas alluding to the fact that he has probably earned the chance to play in the top flight, Leeds surely face an uphill battle trying to pull off what would be a massive deal.
