Adam Forshaw put pen to paper on a move to Leeds from Middlesbrough on Thursday.
Leeds United winger Stuart Dallas has told the club’s official website that he is “buzzing” to be reunited with former Brentford teammate Adam Forshaw at Elland Road.
Forshaw, 26, put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal to complete a £4.5million transfer from rivals Middlesbrough to Leeds on Thursday afternoon – becoming Leeds’ second first-team signing of the month after Laurens De Bock.
It sees the central midfielder team up with Northern Ireland international Dallas for a second time, with the duo playing together at Brentford for two years between 2012 and 2014 before Forshaw left to join Wigan Athletic.
Interviewing Forshaw himself on LUTV, Dallas spoke of his delight to see his old teammate become a new one at Elland Road and believes Leeds’ new number four is a good addition to the squad.
“I’m buzzing he’s here,” Dallas said. “He’s a good player and has a lot of experience both in the Premier League and in the Championship. But I think first and foremost he’s a good lad.
“He’ll fit right in to our group and we’ll be sure to look after him.” Speaking directly to Forshaw, Dallas also joked: “I thought I got rid of you and now you’ve followed me from Brentford.”

The signing of Forshaw could be considered as good timing, after the former Everton trainee signed on the dotted line before the midday deadline on Thursday which makes him available for Leeds’ clash against rivals Millwall on Saturday.
He could be a like-for-like swap for Eunan O’Kane, after the Ireland international was banned for three matches following a straight red card against Ipswich Town last time out.
