Stuart Dallas comments on working with Thomas Christiansen

Thomas Christiansen was appointed the Leeds United head coach earlier this summer following the departure of Garry Monk.

Leeds United winger Stuart Dallas has told BBC Radio Leeds that he and his teammates are enjoying working with Thomas Christiansen.

Christiansen was appointed the Leeds head coach earlier this summer following the departure of Garry Monk, who is now in charge of Championship rivals Middlesbrough.

Pre-season training has already started for the West Yorkshire outfit, who have also played pre-season friendly matches this month.

Dallas, who is 26 years of age and can also operate as an attacking midfielder, has said that he and his teammates are enjoying working with Christiansen.

The Northern Ireland international winger, who cost Leeds £1.3 million in transfer fees according to Sky Sports when he moved from Brentford in the summer of 2015, has admitted that pre-season training has been tough.

“Very good,” Dallas told BBC Radio Leeds when asked about working under Christiansen. “It’s been good. He has come in, the boys have enjoyed it so far, the training has been good. It’s been tough, but it has been fun.”

Christiansen is a good manager, and the Leeds fans will expect the team to challenge for the Championship playoffs yet again next season.

Under Monk during the 2016-17 campaign, the Whites narrowly failed to break into the top six of the league table.

Leeds have made a number of signings in the summer transfer window so far, including midfielder Mateusz Klich, goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald, attacker Ezgjan Alioski and Vurnon Anita, who can operate as a full-back or as a defensive midfielder.
