Leeds United’s Stuart Dallas could move on next summer.
Leeds United ace Stuart Dallas has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that his contract is ‘in the club’s hands’ given that he will be a free agent next year.
The Whites snapped up Dallas from Brentford in 2015, as Uwe Rosler pounced to reunite with the Northern Ireland international.
Dallas has now made more than 150 appearances for Leeds, scoring 15 goals along the way having reinvented himself under Marcelo Bielsa.
Primarily a winger throughout his career, Dallas has played as a right back for Bielsa in the absence of the injured Luke Ayling, and fans have appreciated his work there.
Last month, Bielsa called Dallas ‘important’ when speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post, praising him for ‘solving a lot of problems’ in the Leeds side whilst praising his crossing.
There’s a problem though. Dallas is out of contract next summer, meaning he will be able to leave the club for free if the club don’t act on the situation.
Dallas has now suggested that the situation is in the club’s hands, and whilst he would love to stay at Elland Road, he seemingly can’t be sure that it will actually happen just yet.
“I’m in the last year of my contract so let’s see what happens,” said Dallas. “It’s something that’s in the club’s hands, we’ll see.”
“I would love to be there. It’s somewhere my kids are growing up now, my wee girl goes to school there, the two boys aren’t just at school yet but it’s home for them, it’s all they’ve known and my wife is there too,” he added.
