Stuart Dallas backs Leeds United to finish in the playoffs.
Stuart Dallas has said to The Yorkshire Evening Post that he and his Leeds United team-mates are “full of confidence” over finishing in the playoff positions.
Leeds are fifth in the Championship as they head into the festive schedule, with a couple of trips to Preston and Aston Villa on the horizon.
Garry Monk’s side have been superb since the young manager only managed one victory in his first six league games and things are about as exciting as they’ve been at United for quite a long time – for the moment at least.
Things can change very quickly in the Championship, but the Northern Irish midfielder says there’s a “good buzz” about Leeds at the moment, noting the playing staff are very confident about finishing in the top six come May.
“There’s a good buzz and the players can feel that. The players are giving everything and we are full of confidence about being in the play-offs,” he told The YEP.
Defeat against Preston and Villa would not kill their season, because there is such a long way to go, but two wins would certainly enhance the feel-good mood surrounding their bid to get back into the Premier League.
Leeds have been out of the big time since 2004 but Monk has restored optimism that the wait may come to an end this time around.
