Leeds United winger Stuart Dallas has told The Yorkshire Post that his team need to be wary of Burnley striker Chris Wood during tonight’s game.

Championship club Leeds will take on Premier League side Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the EFL Cup in a few hours’ time.

Wood is likely to feature for the Clarets, having joined Sean Dyche’s side from Leeds in the summer transfer window.

According to The Daily Mail, Burnley had to pay the Whites a transfer fee of £15 million in order to secure the services of the 25-year-old striker.

Leeds winger Dallas, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, has underlined the threat posed by New Zealand international star Wood.

The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international has also stated that during the match, the New Zealand international will be a rival and not a friend.

“I don’t need to explain how good Woody is,” Dallas told The Yorkshire Post. “If you give him a chance, he will hurt you.

“He is a good lad and still a good friend, but when we step over the line, whether he is playing or not, we are enemies for the night.”

Dallas joined Leeds from Championship rivals Brentford in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £1.3 million.
