Fawaz Al-Hasawi is in the process of selling the club to a US consortium, but it is still ongoing.
England cricket hero Stuart Broad, a Nottingham Forest supporter, commented on Twitter of his anguish at the situation and the club’s need to hit the reset button.
The Nottingham Post reported yesterday that the US group, led by John Jay Moores and Charles Noell, are hoping the deal goes through this week.
The Mail had reported earlier in the week that the potential new owners were getting frustrated with the wait, blaming Al-Hasawi for the delay.

With the transfer window closing at the end of the month, it is imperative that the deal is concluded as soon as possible, to allow the new ownership time to bring in new faces, and even a new manager if they deem one to be necessary.
Every day waiting is a day wasted, and it is understandable Broad and other Forest fans are growing impatient.
