Well-known English actor, comedian and television host James Corden is a West Ham United fan, and he recently revealed on social networking site Twitter his desire for Stuart Armstrong to join the club.

Armstrong has been in superb form for Celtic so far this season and has been a key player in their Scottish Premiership title success.

According to The Glasgow Evening Times, the 25-year-old midfielder has scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in the Scottish Premiership so far this campaign.

Celebrity West Ham fan Corden recently stated his desire for Armstrong to move to the London Stadium, to which the Scotland international has now responded.

“Someone sent me it, yeah,” Armstrong told The Glasgow Evening Times about Corden’s tweet. “It’s just something you have got to laugh at, a bit of humour. It’s always nice to see these things. There was a little bit of humour from the boys about it.”

Armstrong is a very good midfielder, and he has progressed brilliantly this season under Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers.

The 25-year-old seems happy at Celtic Park at the moment, and it may not be possible for West Ham to prise him away from the Scottish Premiership club in the summer.

Would Armstrong be a success at West Ham? Probably. The Scotsman has talent and quality, and if he is given time and shown patience, the he could prove to be a good player for the Hammers, if indeed they recruit him.
