In recent weeks, Stuart Armstrong has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League club, West Brom.
Last month, the Express claimed that West Brom have joined the race along with Everton and Brighton for the Celtic midfielder, who has just one more year left on his current deal.
The report added that the Baggies would not baulk at a fee in the region of £8million. They were even willing to offer wage package in excess of £30,000-a-week for the former Dundee United star.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed a superb 2016/17 campaign, where he scored 17 goals in all competitions for Celtic. Brendan Rodgers wants him to stay, and it seems the player has no intention of leaving the club either.
Armstrong has revealed that he expects a new contract with Celtic ‘soon’, saying he is playing some of the best football of his life at Parkhead.
Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths looks dejected after a missed chance
“It was something we had talked about [with Celtic] and had decided to leave until the season was finished,” said Armstrong, as quoted by The Scotsman.
“Then we would pick things up again from there. I’m sure we will take care of that soon. You can never put a time limit on these things, but they normally take care of themselves.”
Another Celtic midfielder, Leigh Griffiths, is also looking forward to the future at Celtic Park (The Daily Record), despite being linked with Newcastle United and West Brom.
