Celtic managed to beat Ross County 4-0 in their latest outing.
Stuart Armstrong has told Celtic’s official website that Brendan Rodgers stressed the importance of the squad, before his side’s match against Ross County on Wednesday evening.
Rodgers made eight changes to Celtic’s line-up for their latest fixture, after what has been a gruelling set of fixtures.
Celtic’s much changed team impressed, as they picked up a 4-0 victory against Ross County to extend the Bhoys’ lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
And Armstrong has revealed that Rodgers is intending to continue to rotate his squad over what is a busy period for his team.
“The manager said before the game that we have a hectic fixture list and he very much believes in the squad and the quality we possess in good numbers,” Armstrong said.
“To make a lot of changes, I felt the team played very well and adapted very well to the changes. We dominated the game for most parts.”
Armstrong was one of the Celtic players to benefit from Rodgers’ changes, as he was handed a start.
The midfielder made the most of his opportunity, by blasting home Celtic’s second goal in the match to secure the three points.
Celtic are still unbeaten in domestic action since Rodgers took charge, and they are already seven points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
Celtic are next in action this weekend, when they have a tough game against Aberdeen.
