Pascal Struijk has told LUTV that Luis Sinisterra is “one to watch out for” after the new Leeds United winger belatedly made his debut for the Yorkshire side on Saturday afternoon – as a late substitute during the draw with Southampton.
Sinisterra, 23, was bought for a fee in the region of £25million from Feyenoord – as a replacement for Raphinha. The Colombia international, though, suffered a hamstring injury in pre-season against Crystal Palace.
It saw Sinisterra miss out during the first outing of the season, a 2-1 win over Wolves. On Saturday, he was fit enough to feature from the bench, coming on after 84 minutes – after Southampton’s equaliser through Kyle Walker-Peters.
Leeds fans are yet to see their expensive summer signing in full flow. He might be involved more heavily against Chelsea after Patrick Bamford suffered an injury – meaning Rodrigo could start up top. Struijk is impressed.
“A quality player,” Struijk told LUTV, as per the Yorkshire Evening Post. “He’s good in one v ones, dribbling, attacking, scoring goals and heading so all-round a good player. He’s someone to look out for.”

Judging by Sinisterra’s form in quality in the Netherlands, Leeds have got themselves a real talent. But it has been a frustrating start to life at Elland Road for the winger. He has missed a chunk of pre-season, due to the injury.
It was perhaps a surprise not to see Sinisterra get some minutes on Monday. The 21’s drew 2-2 with Derby County – a side that included Adam Forshaw, Mateusz Klich, Sam Greenwood, Sonny Perkins and Darko Gyabi.
He might feature against Chelsea but the likelihood is, if Leeds are without Joe Gelhardt and Bamford, Dan James will start out wide and Rodrigo up top. Sinisterra might get more minutes than last Saturday off the bench.
