West Ham United player Havard Nordtveit has been discussing his first season in English football, after struggling to find consistency, fitness and form at the London Stadium.
West Ham beat off plenty of competition in the summer to sign the player from Borussia Monchengladbach on a Bosman transfer.
The former Arsenal talent had been impressing in the Bundesliga for some time so it was no surprise to see him picked up by an English side.
However, West Ham fans have struggled to see the best of Nordtveit. He has struggled with injury trouble and performed mediocre when given his opportunities.
Speaking to Romsdals Budstikke this week the Norwegian has spoken about his first season in English football, admitting it has been a struggle.
But he also made it clear he did not regret the move, stating:
“That’s the way football is. It turns pretty quickly. It’s about to be stable over many games, so I know myself that I’m taking level.
“Something has been negative, but all in all I do not regret that I went to West Ham.”

Nordtveit has played in just 17 games for West Ham this season, in what has been an injury interrupted time at the club.
The 26-year-old will now be hoping to get a full pre-season under his belt before next term, where he will hope to prove himself to the West Ham faithful after a difficult first campaign at the club.
