West Bromwich Albion reportedly look set to miss out on Vedat Muriqi, who is allegedly closing in on a move to Lazio.
Takvim reported in July of interest from West Brom in Muriqi, as covered by HITC Sport here.
The report in the Turkish news outlet claimed that West Brom manager Bilic held discussions with the Fenerbache striker.
However, it seems that the promoted Premier League club will miss out on the 26-year-old Kosovo international striker.
According to Gianlucadimarzio.com, Muriqi has arrived in Rome to sign for Lazio.
The report has claimed that Italian club Lazio will pay Fenerbahce an initial transfer fee of €18 million (£16.62 million), with the striker set to undergo a medical today.
Stats
According to WhoScored, Muriqi scored 15 goals and provided five assists in the Turkish Super Lig for Fenerbahce last season, while during the 2018-19 campaign, the 26-year-old striker scored 17 goals and provided eight assists in the league for Caykur Rizespor.
Muriqi is a good striker who would have made West Brom a better team and would have helped them in the Premier League this season.
