Former Tottenham talent is thriving in America.

Not every young Tottenham Hotspur striker can blossom into Harry Kane.

But one of Kane’s former teammates isn’t doing too badly for himself either, after his brief Spurs career came to an end in 2014.

Cameron Lancaster made only one appearance for Tottenham’s first team in 2012 before being released.

He is currently starring in the United Soccer League (USL), the second tier of football in the USA below Major League Soccer.

And when we say starring, we mean it. Lancaster has been prolific for Louisville City, so much so that he has just won the league’s Golden Boot.

Lancaster scored 25 goals in the recent USL season as he helped Louisville finish second in the league.

With 41 career goals for the club, he is already their record goalscorer.

Prior to trying his luck in America, Lancaster’s career was faltering.

Following his release by Spurs, he signed with Stevenage, before a spell with non-league side St Albans City.

Now his tutelage from Tottenham’s academy is finally paying off and his career is flourishing.

It might not be at the same level as Harry Kane, but in one corner of America, Cameron Lancaster is every bit as highly regarded.
