Sheffield Wednesday appear to be taking another look at striker, Omar Damba.
Damba started for the Owls’ Under-23s against Hull City on Monday afternoon, nearly two months since his last appearance – thought to have been on trial – against the same opposition.
But both Sheffield Wednesday and the player’s club, the Richmond International Academic & Soccer Academy (RIASA), have yet to comment on his latest run-out.
RIASA, whose alumni includes the Burnley striker Nahki Wells, previously described Damba as a ‘quick, strong and dangerous goal-scorer’ and revealed that he was coached by Rob Jones, the former Sheffield Wednesday captain.
Sheffield Wednesday were 2-1 winners against Hull, thanks to goals from Connor O’Grady and George Boyd.
Damba played most of the game, in which Sam Hutchinson appeared for the first time since October, before being replaced by Preslav Borukov.
