Some Liverpool supporters on social media have been expressing their shock after the club announced that they’ve offered Yasser Larouci a new contract.
It has been reported for such a long time that the 20-year-old was set to leave Anfield this summer, but after the Reds offered him a new deal, it looks as though he could be set to stay.
Of course, it’s up to Larouci as to whether or not he’ll put pen to paper on this new deal, but supporters were rather shocked to see that he’d been given the opportunity to stay.
We can understand why Reds fans were shocked, Larouci has been linked with an exit for such a long time now, and it seemed to be almost certain that he would depart.
The 20-year-old could still leave if he doesn’t sign this new deal, but it has to be said that any chance to stay at a club the size of Liverpool must be tempting.
His situation is certainly one to keep an eye on.
