Carlo Garganese has claimed on Twitter that Dejan Kulusevski is displaying ‘strange behaviour’ after the journalist was reminded of his comments about the Juventus loanee before his move to Tottenham.
The Italian football writer and broadcaster mocked Fabio Paratici for bringing, both Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, to Spurs from Juventus during the January transfer window.
Garganese was laughing at the idea that Tottenhan’s Sporting Director had paid around ‘£60 million’ for the duo, when Kulusevski ‘hadn’t beaten his man in two years’.
Well, they are words that were clearly remembered and brought to the table once more by Tottenham’s new hero.
Kulusevski posted footage of his best moments in a Spurs shirt on Instagram, including a screengrab of what Garganese had to say.
And now the Italian football writer has hit back at the Sweden international for being called out.
KULUSEVSKI SHUTTING UP HIS CRITICS
It needs to be noted that Kulusevski is only 22 and his struggles at Juventus were understandable given his age.
At the end of the day, it’s all about he reacts to those struggles and he has done so in a pretty devastating fashion.
Tottenham’s forward line, with Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane, can cause havoc against anyone in the world, so trying to elevate that would need something special.
And Kulusevski, who scored five Premier League goals and supplied eight assists, from his 18 games, provided that in bucket loads and he will now be playing Champions League football next season.
So, not bad for a player that doesn’t dribble past his opponents as much?!
