Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to show their love for Mesut Özil’s latest tweet, which mentions ex-players such as Kieran Gibbs and Mathieu Flamini.

The German tweeted about the Warmer Winters campaign, in which he, Gibbs, Flamini and Alberto Franceschi will help to provide meals to children in need over the Christmas holidays.

In what will probably delight the Gunners fanbase the most, Özil mentions ‘Arsenal DNA’ when captioning his tweet regarding the good work that he, Flamini and Gibbs are doing.

His ten-word tweet was adored by the Arsenal fans below, presumably because he mentions ‘Arsenal DNA’ which suggests he still thinks fondly of the club, despite the treatment he’s currently experiencing.

Özil hasn’t played for the north Londoners at all this season.

Mikel Arteta left the former Real Madrid maestro out of his Premier League squad, as well as his Europa League squad.

The 32-year-old last played for the club on March 7th, assisting Alexandre Lacazette’s goal in a 1-0 win over West Ham.

With his contract set to expire in June, that might’ve been the last sighting of Özil for the Emirates faithful.

Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about his tweet…
