Some Sheffield United and Burnley supporters appear to concur over Jack Cork.
Certain Blades fans would welcome him at Bramall Lane, while several of a Clarets persuasion would be willing to let him go.
Sheffield United are monitoring Cork – whose father Alan played for the Blades, alongside the current Bramall Lane boss Chris Wilder, and had a spell as Micky Adams’ assistant manager – but could be rivalled by Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion should they decide to pursue a deal, according to The Mirror.
The trio are all said to be ‘watching developments’, with the 31-year-old’s Burnley future ‘in the balance’.
Cork’s contract expires next summer and it is claimed that his situation ‘has yet to be addressed’ – alerting several clubs to the versatile midfielder, for whom Burnley paid £10 million in 2017.
That puts him in a similiar situation to the Sheffield United midfielder, John Lundstram, whom the Blades are ready to sell in January to avoid losing him for free.
And that hasn’t gone unnoticed by a smattering of supporters on either side.
