Spurs are reportedly keen on Norwich City star Max Aarons, who is also a target for Everton and AS Roma in the January transfer window.
According to CalcioMercato, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte and sporting director Fabio Paratici are fans of the 21-year-old defender, who is in his second season of Premier League football with Norwich.
As per the report, Spurs are eager to sign Aarons in 2022. However, the north London side face competition from Premier League rivals Everton and former manager Jose Mourinho, who also want to sign the youngster in the January transfer window.
Whilst Spurs have two right-backs on their books in Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal, neither have impressed Conte since his arrival to the club earlier in the year. And a change in the position appears to be on the table.
Indeed, wing-backs are crucial to how the Italian sets up his style of play. And whilst Sergio Reguilion and Ryan Sessegnon are two excellent options out on the left, the right could do with some work. Hence Spurs’ renewed interest in Aarons heading into January.
Whilst the defender has been a staple for Norwich for the past three seasons, Spurs fans on social media are not sold on the defender. Moreover, according to Sky Sports News, the Canaries value the youngster at £35m.
Spurs fans dubious about fresh links to Aarons

This is far from the first time Spurs have been linked with Aarons heading into a transfer window. And on social media, supporters are not keen on the thought of signing Aarons, mainly due to better options being out there in the market next year.
