Jermaine Jenas has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Tottenham Hotspur target Allan Saint-Maximin’s goal for Newcastle United against Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home at Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The former Tottenham and Newcastle star was left stunned by Saint-Maximin’s superb strike for the Magpies in the 1-1 draw with Wolves today.
The French winger found the back of the net in the 90th minute when he volleyed home from the edge of the Wolves box after Hwang Hee-chan sent his mis-timed clearance into the air.
It was a world-class goal – one of the best in the Premier League so far this season.
And Jenas was impressed, and so as former Tottenham striker and Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker, as you can see below.
The Northern Echo reported last month that Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in signing Saint-Maximin from Premier League rivals Newcastle this summer.
According to MediaFoot this week, Manchester United could make a bid for the Newcastle winger before the summer transfer window closes.
