Chris Sutton claimed on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport that ‘your stomach is sinking’ if you are a Liverpool or Manchester United player after Monday’s FA Cup draw.
Liverpool will travel to Old Trafford for the Fourth Round of the FA Cup later on this month and Sutton thinks it’s the ‘standout tie’ of the round.
But prior to the FA Cup draw, the duo will lock horns in the Premier League, as they bid to claim top spot in England’s top-flight.
Under Jurgen Klopp’s stewardship, Liverpool don’t have a strong record in this competition, but they will be hoping they can start putting things right against their rivals, as Sutton shared his thoughts on the draw.
“Manchester United vs Liverpool, of course, the standout tie,” said Sutton.
“If you are a Manchester United or Liverpool player tonight, your stomach is sinking a little bit. It’s a nightmare draw that.”

Whilst Klopp has complained about fixture pile-up and scheduling this season, it will be a surprise if he doesn’t put out a very strong side against Manchester United judging by the team that played against Aston Villa’s kids.
The likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson all started, so Liverpool fans should expect to see them faces line-up in the next round also.
It will be interesting to see what bearing the Premier League encounter has on the FA Cup tie because losing both of those games is a big no-no for either team.
