Stoke avoided defeat at Manchester United for the first time in more than 30 years and the Potters are hoping to pick up where they left off.

Stoke City keeper Lee Grant has told Signal Radio, as quoted by Stoke’s official website, that his team’s draw at Manchester United will kickstart the Potters’ Premier League season.
Stoke forced a share of the points at Old Trafford for the first time in more than 30 years before the international break and Grant hopes the team can move onwards and upwards.
The 33-year-old was instrumental in snatching City’s point away at United prior to the international break, making a string of impressive saves before Joe Allen’s goal earned a richly-deserved draw.
The keeper, who is on loan from Derby County, told Signal Radio, as quoted by Stoke’s official website: “It’s certainly something we’re looking to build upon. I said it after the game and it hasn’t changed now. You really need to use a result like that to gain momentum.

“Just being in the building the last week or so, you feel there’s a bit of confidence being breathed back into the group and that’s great.
“The task now is to take that point a long with that confidence and build upon that against a team that’s also in desperate need for some points.”
The Potters will host a bottom-of-the-table clash with Sunderland this weekend, who have had an equally slow start to the season and are currently sitting one spot below Stoke in the Premier League.
Stoke have yet to win a single match this season but Grant insists there is no crisis at the club.

“There certainly isn’t, not from our point of view. The strength amongst the squad is massive and I’ve been really impressed with everybody,” he added.
“The strength in depth here is a massive positive. The plan is to start moving in the right direction now and the important thing now is to start getting three points on the board.
“We’re confident in our ability and we showed last time out that we can get a positive result and push forward, that’s what our aim will be on Saturday.”
Grant is expected to start when Stoke host Sunderland at the bet365 Stadium this weekend.
