Former Glasgow Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam previously spent six years at Ibrox.

Charlie Adam has reiterated a desire to re-sign for Rangers.
The Stoke City midfielder, who spent six years at Rangers until 2009, made headlines last week by claiming that he’d jump at the chance to return to Ibrox on loan in January.
Speaking to Sky Sports on Sunday, Adam said: “If it was an option, there’s something there. It’s a wonderful club and I had great times there. It’s a big club, still as well. If there was an opportunity to go back then great.”
The 32-year-old has made just the three Championship appearances for the Potters this season – all from the bench – and manager Gary Rowett should sanction his move to Glasgow, that is if Steven Gerrard wanted his former Liverpool team-mate.
Stoke clearly don’t need him and it makes little sense on a football or financial level to keep him beyond January.
He is taking up space in a squad that would benefit more from having a midfielder actually contributing to City’s promotion push this season.
Here is how Stoke fans reacted to his comments about re-signing for Rangers yesterday:
Gerrard couldn’t fit Adam into his Gers squad without letting one or two midfielders go, such is the competition for places, but it remains to be seen what happens.
One thing for sure is that Stoke don’t need him. Do Rangers? Time will tell.
