The Potters and the Whites lock horns in the cup at Elland Road days after Marcelo Bielsa and co had run riot in Staffordshire.

Stoke City stand-in captain Nathan Collins has issued a bold message to Leeds United ahead of their Carabao Cup clash at Elland Road on Tuesday night, insisting he wants “revenge” for the 3-0 hammering by the Whites at the weekend (Stoke Sentinel).
The Potters were bottom of the Championship table even before the Whites, who by contrast were at the summit, went to the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday, the hosts having suffered three defeats and drawn one prior to kickoff.
In the end, Leeds had a pretty easy afternoon in Staffordshire, Stuart Dallas netting just before the break and then Ezgjan Alioski and Patrick Bamford getting on the scoresheet in the second half, Marcelo Bielsa’s side weighing in with 21 shots, 10 of which on target (BBC Sport).
The 18-year-old centre-back captained Stoke for the first time in a league match at the weekend having skippered for the first time in the first round Carabao Cup victory at Wigan and, even though he could be omitted with Saturday’s league game against Birmingham in mind, he is raring to go against the Whites if called upon.

“If the manager wants me, I’ll be there, and I’ll be straight at them,” Collins is quoted by the Stoke Sentinel as saying. “I’m looking for revenge because this hurt. Whatever happens Tuesday, I want to be there and I want to play and be at my best, which I know I can be.
“This hurt and I want revenge. We are going to go there looking for a result and be straight at them. We are all hurting and we are expecting a big performance from ourselves. We want to everything. We want cup runs, win the league, everything. We know we have the ability, but we need to start showing that with results.”
