Stoke signing Jese from PSG puts them ahead of Chelsea and Manchester City on list of teams with most Champions League winners.

Stoke City have completed the signing of Jese Rodriguez from Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan to add more continental experience to their squad.

Jese came through the ranks at Real Madrid and scored 18 goals in 94 appearances for the Spanish giants before leaving for PSG in a £21m (BBC) deal last summer.

However, the forward struggled in the French capital, playing just 14 times for the Ligue 1 club before he was loaned back to Spain and Las Palmas.

The 24-year-old does have an impressive CV, though, mainly from his time with Madrid and his arrival at the Bet365 Stadium actually means Stoke have more Champions League winners in their squad than any other team in the Premier League.

Jese won Europe’s biggest prize twice during his time at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, while new teammates Bojan and Ibrahim Afellay lifted the trophy with Barcelona, Xherdan Shaqiri was crowned champion with Bayern Munich and Darren Fletcher was victorious with Manchester United.

This puts the Potteries ahead of Chelsea, who have four winners in Gary Cahill, David Luiz, Pedro and new signing Alvaro Morata, while Manchester City are third due to Claudio Bravo, Danilo and Yaya Toure.
