Stoke City lost 4-1 to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Stoke City fell to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City in the second week of the Premier League.
Sergio Aguero, who missed two penalties in the Champions League midweek, gave City the lead from the spot after 27 minutes.
Nine minutes later, the Argentinian striker got his and Manchester City’s second, guiding a header past Shay Given.

Stoke got a lifeline after the break when Mike Dean pointed to the spot after Raheem Sterling blocked off Ryan Shawcross, allowing Bojan to convert from 12 yards and bring Mark Hughes’ team back into the game.
The gloss was put on the scoreline late on when Nolito bagged a brace off the bench. The first came in the 86th minute when fellow substitute Kelechi Iheanacho rounded the goalkeeper and composed himself to find Nolito who made it 3-1.

The fourth came in stoppage time as a dummy from Iheanacho allowed Sterling to race through on goal, only for him to selflessly find Nolito who passed the ball into the empty net and wrap up proceedings.

Stoke, with one point from their opening two games, had a penalty appeal turned down in the first half, but the fans seem more concerned about their teams lacklustre defending. See what Potters fans had to say about the 4-1 defeat on Twitter.
