Leeds United are likely to be after a new striker in the January transfer window.

Thomas Christiansen is likely to address his lack of Leeds United firepower in the January transfer window but after splashing out in the summer, the loan market could be utilised.

Pierre-Michel Lasogga has been a huge disappointment at Elland Road after joining the club on season-long loan from Hamburg in the summer, as he was expected to mirror the goalscoring rate of Chris Wood.

Wood left to join Premier League side Burnley after firing his way to the top of the Championship goal rankings last season, but Lasogga has been a shadow of the New Zealand international this season.

Christiansen has opted to play versatile attacker Kemar Roofe up front, while summer signing Caleb Ekuban has started Leeds last two outings against Aston Villa and Barnsley.

But Ekuban is yet to score in the Championship for Leeds and it is obvious that the club need a new centre-forward to boost their chances of achieving promotion.

The Stoke Sentinel claim Stoke City powerhouse Julian Ngoy is available for loan in January, as he continues to score regularly for the Potters’ Under-23 side.

The two-time Belgium Under-21 international has scored 10 goals in 25 Premier League 2 appearances, and has made six senior appearances for the Staffordshire-based club.

His strength and goalscoring form is just what the Whites are crying out for, and although unproven at senior level in both the Championship and Premier League, his unpredictability could see him dumbfound second-tier defenders.

Boasting pace, skill and available for loan, he would be the perfect addition both on and off the pitch for the Yorkshire giants.
