Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam has sent a message to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Twitter.
Wolves sacked manager Walter Zenga after 87 days on Tuesday, with the Black Country side 18th in the Championship, placing Rob Edwards in temporary charge.

And Adam, who played with Edwards at Blackpool, was quick to pass on his best wishes after the news was announced.
“Good luck to my old team mate Rob Edwards on being interim charge of Wolves,” posted the Scotland international.
The pair’s former Blackpool colleague, Keith Southern, sent a similar message, praising Edwards’ coaching ability – but was critical of Zenga’s appointment in the first place.
“Massive shock Walter zenga leaves wolves,” posted the former midfielder, sarcastically. “Horrendous appointment. Good luck to my mate Rob Edwards. Top young coach.”
Edwards, who spent four seasons as a Wolves player in the mid-2000s, began coaching at Molineux in 2014 having retired from the game a year earlier.

Following a spell in charge of the under-18s, the 33-year-old was promoted to first-team coach under Zenga’s predecessor Kenny Jackett last year.
Adam has made just five appearances for Stoke this season, of which only one was from the start. Who knows, if Edwards impresses, the 30-year-old could soon be turning out in Wolves’ colours…
