Stoke City host Sunderland in a bottom three battle this afternoon.

This weekend sees the return of the Premier League after the second international break of the campaign.
One of the key games of the weekend can be found at the bottom of the table as Stoke City host Sunderland.
Both are currently in the bottom three after seven games, with the Black Cats bottom of the table and Mark Hughes team just a place ahead of them.
Both sides will be desperate for a win to kick-start their seasons and it should make for interesting viewing.
Two key players will be midfielders Didier Ndong and Giannelli Imbula, so we decided to take a look at how they compare.
Sunderland’s Didier Ndong
As it turns out it is the Sunderland man who has had the better start as he came out on top in five of the eight areas analysed.
So far he has managed more key passes, two compared to one, and a better overall passing accuracy 91% to 88% than Imbula.
The Stoke City man has however managed more accurate passes that the Black Cats new star.

Defensively the Sunderland man is superior, though, posting better numbers in terms of tackles won, interceptions won and ball recoveries.
Imbula comes out on top for total shots, though, with a score of three compared to one, although they are both level with shots on target having both failed to register one.
Nonetheless, a win for Ndong and Sunderland will be hoping for more of the same in this afternoon’s game.
