Stoke City versus Watford predicted line-ups: Crouch to get nod again?

The Potters host an out-of-form Watford at the Bet 365 Stadium on Tuesday evening.

Stoke City will look to win their first Premier League game in six, as Walter Mazzarri’s Watford make the trip to the Bet 365 Stadium on Tuesday evening.

After the Potters’ fighting 4-2 defeat at Chelsea on New Years’ Eve, Mark Hughes’ side entertain the Hertfordshire side looking to resurrect their home form.

Stoke last won at the beginning of December with a victories in the Potteries against Burnley, but since then they have taken just two points from a possible 15.

Having made his second start in succession – just his third of the campaign so far – forgotten man Peter Crouch scored and assisted against the Blues and with the visitors struggling for from, he could be looking at more rewards this time out.

The Hornets have themselves struggled of late, having lost three of their last four games – becoming Spurs’ latest victims in a disjointed showing on Sunday afternoon. With Mazzarri’s men slipping to 13th in the table, Watford will be wanting to stop the rot in a hurry.

With Watford without a clean sheet since October, and facing a Stoke side that have netted nine times at home in the last five outings, the visitors could be in for uncomfortable evening.

The meeting will be the fourth time the two have met in the Premier League. Stoke have won the last two and when they met earlier this term an own goal from Heurelho Gomes settled the result at Vicarage Road.

Marko Arnautovic is available having served a three-match suspension for Stoke but Jonathan Walters is a doubt with a knee injury. Defender Marc Muniesa will definitely miss out with a similar problem.

Geoff Cameron could return with Steven Ireland and Jack Butland on course to be back in contention in February.

Watford welcome back Miguel Britos from a ban, but are without a number of first-team players. Daryl Janmaat, Isaac Success and Valon Behrami are all ruled out, with Nordin Amrabat and Stefano Okaka also a set to miss the trip to Stoke.

Camilo Zuniga is a major doubt having sustained an injury in the warm-up versus Spurs on New Years’ Day, while Roberto Pereyra is a long-term absentee.
