Stoke City and Swansea City parted company with their managers on Friday…

Ostersund's head coach Graham Potter looks on during the UEFA Europa League Group J football match between Zorya Lugansk and Ostersunds FK in Lviv on September 14, 2017.

A number of Stoke City fans are calling for Graham Potter’s return to the Bet365 Stadium, as manager this time, after Paul Lambert’s departure on Friday.

Lambert was dismissed four months into a three-and-a-half year deal, having failed to halt the Potters’ slide into the Championship.

Swansea manager Carlos Carvalhal looks on before the Premier League match between Swansea City and Chelsea at Liberty Stadium on April 28, 2018 in Swansea, Wales.

And Potter – the former Stoke full-back who has impressed as manager of Swedish side Ostersunds FK – is proving a popular choice among the Staffordshire side’s fanbase – although he is also among the early favourites to succeed Carlos Carvalhal at Swansea City.

Swansea, who also announced their manager’s departure on Friday, will face Stoke again in next season’s Championship.

And the pair could yet do battle before then, in their search for a new man to lead them.

Potter is 5/2 to become Swansea’s next manager and 12/1 to succeed Lambert at Stoke (both Sky Bet).

Who would you like to see in charge of Stoke City next term?
