Arsenal could reportedly strike a deal that would really hurt North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Italian outlet Leggo reported earlier this month that the Gunners could swap Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Roma winger Cengiz Under.
And if Under winds up joining Arsenal for free, it would sting Tottenham.
That’s because the Turkish attacker has long been linked with a move to the white half of the North London divide.
In 2017, Ajansspor reported that Spurs had agreed a deal to sign Under, something that obviously didn’t materialise.
A year later, Football London claimed that the 22-year-old wanted to join the Lilywhites after being linked with a move away from Roma.
And last summer, Turkish Football reported that Tottenham had contacted the Italians about signing Under which, again, didn’t come to fruition.
By all accounts, this is a player who chairman Daniel Levy seems to be a fan of and if Arsenal sign him for free, in exchange for an also-ran with no future at the Emirates like Mkhitaryan, then it’ll be a bitter, bitter pill for their neighbours.
