Casper Sloth struggled at Leeds and is battling to rebuild his career in Denmark.
Leeds United made several poor signings under Massimo Cellino, but one who appeared initially to be a smart addition was midfielder Casper Sloth.
Sloth arrived as a Denmark international who was wanted by clubs in France, but he never looked close to living up to expectations at Leeds.
The midfielder spent two disappointing seasons with the Whites, and is now back in Denmark, and onto his second club since.
Sloth signed with Aalborg in 2016, before switching to Silkeborg this summer, where he has rejoined his former club coach Peter Sorensen, and is hoping to recapture the form which once saw him called up for his country.
He said: “We had an owner who had something to say, so I do not always think that the managers had as much power as they normally would have over there.
“People could start in Saturday, so they could be outside the squad Tuesday and then start again Saturday. Too many players, not just myself.”
Sloth admitted that he struggled for confidence after his spell at Leeds, knowing that teams had begun to lose faith in him.
He believes he is back on track now, and is trying to take the positives from his failed spell in Yorkshire.
He said: “It was actually good. From the outside, it may seem that it was totally miserable, and of course it was because I did not play at all the last year, mMany things happened. We had seven coaches, so a lot of things took place.
“But the teammates, the city and the club at all were super nice and a good experience that way. But pure sport, it might have been better.”
