Romeo Lavia reportedly wants to move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool despite having interest from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has reported on Twitter that both Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing Romeo Lavia from Southampton in the summer transfer window.
Jacobs has claimed that Chelsea are planning to make a bid for the Belgium international defensive midfielder.
The Blues could make a higher offer than Liverpool for the 19-year-old, who has been described as “incredible” by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
The reporter has added that the 19-year-old wants to move to Liverpool.
Liverpool should be wary of Chelsea competition for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia
In our opinion, Liverpool should be really worried about Chelsea’s interest in Romeo Lavia.
Although Lavia fancies a move to Liverpool now, things could change very quickly.
What if Chelsea offer more transfer fees than Liverpool to Southampton?
The Saints would then surely sell the 19-year-old to the Blues.

After all, Southampton would not mind where Lavia goes as long as they get the money they want.
The Saints will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.
Moreover, Chelsea potentially paying more than Liverpool for Lavia would send a very strong message to the midfielder about how much the Blues rate him and value him.
Lavia has made 29 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The teenager has scored one goal in those games.
We believe that Lavia would grow and develop in the coming years.
Liverpool would be a better team with Lavia in it, and so would Chelsea.
Both Liverpool and Chelsea will be determined to finish in the top four of the Premier League table next season and potentially challenge for the title.
