Tim Sherwood has claimed that Tottenham striker Harry Kane is ‘still non-existent’ after their goalless draw at Everton on Sunday, as he told Premier League Productions (07/11/21 at 7:25 pm).

The former Spurs boss urged Antonio Conte to get the best out of Tottenham’s front three because they are ‘their three (Son, Kane and Moura) best players’.

In what was Conte’s first Premier League game in charge of the North London club, he witnessed what supporters have seen all season and that’s a team that’s just toothless up front.

A large part of that was down to the negative style in which they played under the now-sacked Nuno Espirito Santo.

But Kane’s form doesn’t help matters because it’s all fallen off a cliff, nevermind him scoring a goal in the Premier League, he cannot even muster a shot on target.

Sherwood was the one who pushed Kane into the first-team picture when he was in the Tottenham dugout many years ago, as he shared that the England captain still isn’t turning up.

“I think Harry Kane is still non-existent really in the game,” said Sherwood. “Lucas Moura didn’t affect it, nor did Son.

“They are their three best players and he’s going to have to get the best out of them to push your way up the league.

“It’s far too early to criticise Antonio Conte. I am sure he’s going to get the best out of them.”

Well, that arrival of Conte and possible early lift clearly hasn’t worked and Kane needs to look at nobody else but himself.

These next few weeks could become interesting for him because he is now in a more pressured spotlight of representing his country.

If Kane continues to produce abject displays for the Three Lions, then the England fans simply won’t tolerate it.

The fact that Kane was booed during Nuno’s last game in charge tells you all as to where the player currently is in his career.
