Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to discuss a 31-second video showcasing the build-up to Bernard’s winner for Everton yesterday.
The main takeaway from the footage is Harry Winks’ dreadful first touch, before Richarlison steals possession and puts Everton on the attack.
Davinson Sanchez rolls the ball into the England international’s path, where he has acres of space to do whatever he pleases.
However, a loose first touch sees the ball bounce away, and Seamus Coleman then drives upfield to help Everton grab their winner in the 97th minute.
In Winks’ defence, there’s enough time for his teammates to rectify the mistake – it wasn’t entirely his fault.

When Coleman picks up the loose ball, there is absolutely nobody in the centre of the field for Tottenham.
That gives the Irishman acres of space to roam into without any pressure on him to make a decision.
Additionally, the defending has to be better.

Coleman’s simple overlap causes more chaos than it should, dragging Matt Doherty out of position before Bernard ghosts into the gap.
Admittedly, Winks started Everton’s build-up for them, but he cannot solely be blamed for what happened next – it was a shambles at the back.
Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about the 31-second footage…
