Stiliyan Petrov has praised Aston Villa central defender Tyrone Mings on Stadium Astro.
The Villa legend has been impressed by the performances of Mings for Dean Smith’s side so far this season.
Petrov has noted that the 27-year-old central defender has developed a lot this season and is now a leader at the back.
The former Bulgaria international midfielder said about Mings on Stadium Astro: “Since the start of the season, he has showed great development, maturity. He leads from the back, he is the one who is the voice in the team. He always encourages others to do their jobs.”

Mings is an important player for Villa and has established himself as one of the better defenders in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old is a no-nonsense defender who is at the top of his game at the moment. According to WhoScored, the Englishman has scored two goals and provided one assist in 20 Premier League games so far this season.
Dean Smith’s side are having a wonderful season and are in the running for the European places in the Premier League table, and Mings will play an important role in that quest.
If Mings maintains his form until the end of the season and stays fit, then he is likely to be part of the England squad for the European Championship in the summer of 2021.
