Stiliyan Petrov said on Stadium Astro that the best is yet to come from Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette.
The former Aston Villa star, who now works as a pundit, believes that Lacazette would play better and would score more goals if he has better midfielders behind him.
Petrov said about Lacazette on Stadium Astro: “No, we haven’t seen the best of him. We have seen signs of what he can do, what he is good at, what his abilities are.
“Don’t forget at the moment he plays with a lot of young players. You look at the midfield. There are a lot of inexperienced players, so if you add better players through the middle, then they can bring the best out of him.”
Alexandre Lacazette’s importance for Arsenal
Lacazette arrived at Arsenal in 2017 with a strong reputation, having scored 129 goals in 275 matches in all competitions for Lyon, as reported by BBC Sport.
The striker has not exactly been a goal machine at the Gunners so far, but that is partly due to the fact that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the main striker and plays down the middle.

However, with Aubameyang not at his best this season, Lacazette has got his chance, and the 29-year-old has taken it.
According to WhoScored, the France international striker has scored eight goals and provided two assists in 16 Premier League starts and has scored one goal in three Europa League games for the Gunners so far this season.
Lacazette will score more goals if he is given more chances, but that is true for all strikers.
