Loris Karius will apparently be given another shot next season, which would be a huge risk to take by Liverpool.
Karius suffered a horrible end to the 2017/18 campaign by producing two blunders in the Champions League final against Real Madrid, following a string of unconvincing displays since signing for the Reds in 2016 from Mainz 05.

The 25-year-old has shown glimpses of his potential, but he has made it difficult for some Liverpool fans to get behind him and support his development after making a number of errors.
But the Mirror claim Karius has the faith of Klopp and will be the team’s number one again next season, after the Reds were priced out of moves for Roma stopper Alisson and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak – and it has to be said, that is one big risk for the club to take.
Liverpool have made two brilliant signings so far this summer in Fabinho and Naby Keita, but keeping Karius in goal threatens to take that from a good window to an average one.
Put simply, Klopp might be misplacing his faith in Karius. The German tactician is a loyal character which is admirable, but should Karius slip back into old habits early on next term and the team drop points as a result, then the fans will surely be on his back and things could get toxic quickly.
The current situation is that Klopp did want to get somebody else in, but couldn’t due to certain targets being too expensive. Now he is being forced to stick with Karius, which is not exactly a vote of confidence to the player.
As stated previously, Keita and Fabinho are top signings, and the likelihood is there will be more new faces before the window closes. But surely Liverpool have to follow these additions with a fresh, safe pair of hands for the new season.
