The Sunderland owner has called for patience as the Mackems look to add to their one winter addition.
Stewart Donald has delivered an update on Sunderland’s January transfer plans via Twitter.
Sunderland completed their first (new) signing of the winter window less than a week ago, bringing in the Burnley defender Jimmy Dunne on a half-season loan, but some Mackems fans are hungry for more.
And despite acknowledging his side’s need to strengthen, Donald, the Mackems’ owner, has called for patience as they try to get ‘the detail right’.
Confirming ‘sensible’ and ‘serious’ offers are on the table for players, Donald told one Sunderland fan on Twitter this evening (Tuesday):
Sunderland are currently third in the League One standings, although Jack Ross’s team have played one game fewer than second-place Luton Town.
The Wearside club recruited 12 first-team players in the summer transfer window – one of whom, Jerome Sinclair, returned to Watford last week.
