George Honeyman is reportedly leaving Sunderland for Hull City in the summer transfer window.

Sunderland owner Stewart Donald has taken to Twitter to explain the reportedly imminent sale of George Honeyman to Hull City.
According to The Daily Mail, League One outfit Sunderland have accepted a bid of £400,000 from Hull in the Championship for Honeyman.
It has been reported that the 24-year-old midfielder is set for a medical with the Tigers and will complete a move before the summer transfer window slams shut next week.
The Chronicle has quoted Sunderland manager Jack Ross as saying that he is surprised that Honeyman is leaving the Black Cats.
Sunderland owner Donald has given his take on Honeyman’s situation and has explained on Twitter the reportedly imminent transfer process.

Promotion challenge
Sunderland reached the League One playoff final last season, but the Black Cats failed to get it over the line.
Ross’s side will be aiming to finish in the top two of the League One table this season and clinch automatic promotion to the Championship.
