The Sheffield United captain has been linked with a move to Sunderland.

Stewart Donald has clarified claims Sunderland have made an offer for Sheffield United’s Billy Sharp.
The Blades captain is one of several strikers being linked with a move to Sunderland, along with Mohamed Eisa of Cheltenham Town and Charlie Wyke of Bradford City.
But while Donald was happy to confirm bids have been made for the latter pair – as well as the Reading midfielder George Evans, all of which he denied are “a long way off” their clubs’ valuations – the new Mackems owner insisted on Twitter his side “have made no offer on Sharp”.

Sharp scored 14 goals in 37 games for Sheffield United last season, but only started two of his boyhood club’s last seven Championship fixtures.
However, the 32-year-old’s wife has emphatically denied claims her husband met with the Blades to discuss his future on Tuesday.
According to Transfermarkt, Sharp has scored 104 goals and made 20 in 172 League One games, which would explain any interest from Sunderland.
